What you'll be doing:


  • Direct line management of the SWTO Mechanical Test Section, including the daytoday management of the Engineers and overseeing their longerterm development
  • Coordination of Testing, Commissioning, Trials, Setting to Work and Defect Rectification of Mechanical Systems
  • Provide support to and delegate for the SWTO Commissioning Managers
  • Liaise with Operations and Quality Control as appropriate to ensure collaborative working to deliver the installation/test programme.
  • Support to Strategic Weapons Test Group (SWTG), Technical Exchanges, Working Groups and other key meetings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with MoD customer and US Department of Defence (DOD SSP) and their contractors to meet customer requirements, and lead in resolution of major issues.
  • Support and ensure safe working practises in accordance with company HS&E policy and compliance with business quality best practice.

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:


  • HNC Engineering/Equivalent Experience
  • Testing and Commissioning experience
  • Strong engineering background with similar industry

Desirable:
  • Knowledge of Strategic Weapon System (SWS)
  • Experience working within Regulated Environment (e.g. Nuclear Licenced Site)
  • CEng (or working towards)
