Description
Key Activities:
- Producing machined parts in line with provided Work Order, drawings, and other specifications
- Interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances from drawings
- Operation of CNC and Manual Lathe & Milling machines under supervision of the Workshop Manager
- Assist the Workshop Manager to efficiently setup, programme CNC lathes and set up Manual machines
- Quality control verification of the machining process
- Quality inspection of parts during machining process
- Maintaining traceability of machined components, as required by company's processes
- Completing and maintaining quality documentation, as required by company's processes
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in operating a CNC lathe preferably XYZ RLX
- Manual mill and lathe machine operating experience
- Competent at reading and interpreting drawings and technical specifications,
- Confident in use of quality control measuring equipment
- High work ethics, positive attitude, and strong drive to achieve best quality results
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain focus under pressure of a high workload, tight deadlines and changing job priorities
- Good communication and team working skills
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience with medium and large sized components machining
- Oil and gas industry machining experience, i.e., ACME thread cutting, Ring grooves
- Ability to plan, control and take responsibility for own work
- Forklift driving and/or banksman slinger qualifications
