Are you interested in developing and improving the quality of Adult Social Care services that support people in all communities in Bristol?

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Adult Social Care Quality Assurance Team.

This is a great opportunity to move into a quality assurance role for someone with the relevant transferable skills and experience.


Adult Social Care Quality Assurance is about ensuring there are good quality and safe adult social care services available to citizens within Bristol who need them.


About you


We are looking for creative, inquisitive, and diligent individuals who are passionate about services for people that are high quality, good value for money and most importantly, make a significant, positive difference in people's lives.


As part of a busy team, you will be organised, able to manage multiple areas of work within deadlines and flexible in your approach to work.


You will be comfortable working with a wide range of people, both internally and externally and enjoy being involved in a variety of activities and projects.


You will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to and understanding of equalities issues, and particularly their relationship to social care.

You will also recognise the current challenges for Social Care.


The role


The Quality Assurance Team works across a wide range of varied services including Care Homes, Home Care and Supported Accommodation.


You will be involved in the monitoring and evaluation of services to continually improve their quality and flexibility and will be expected to take appropriate action in instances of poor service quality.


You will provide tailored advice on service quality and improvement to commissioned care service suppliers and internal teams such as Strategic Commissioning, Care Management, Contract Management and Housing.

You will often work in partnership with the Bristol Adult Safeguarding Team, other Local Authorities, CQC and the NHS.


We are committed to working with the users of our commissioned services and you will be expected to engage with users of our services to ensure they have a voice in how their services can improve.


You will contribute to the commissioning cycle through service review, tender evaluations and contracts as part of the wider Strategic Commissioning Team.


You will have strong IT skills (particularly in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel) and be organised, with the ability to adapt to new systems, when needed.

The role is based in City Hall with the option to work from home. You will also be expected to travel throughout Bristol for Quality Assurance visits, meetings and workshops.
