Description
Our client is a manufacturing company who specialise in the production of high precision machined components.

The latest CNC turning and milling machines are used along with a dedicated quality team to ensure each part is built to the highest possible standard.

They are currently looking for a
Quality Inspector to join their hardworking and dedicated team.


As a
Quality Inspector you will perform inspection operations using First Principle inspection methods to ensure parts, materials and documentation meets the required standards, you will also complete and maintain QA documentation as required.


  • Demonstrable experience in a quality inspection role
  • Knowledge and experience of First Principle inspection methods and techniques
  • Possess a high attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • Ability to prioritize personal workload to ensure efficiency in completing tasks
  • Be able to work in high pressure situations
  • Have good IT skills and be a competent user of MS Office in particular Excel
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Good problemsolving skills

Your duties as a Quality Inspector will include:

  • Perform inspection operations using First Principle Inspection methods to ensure parts, materials and documentation meet the required standards, as prescribed in technical drawings, specifications and/or process documentation
  • Completing and maintaining QA documentation as required
  • Working with colleagues to identify areas of risk that may lead to 'poor quality' during production operations
  • Competent use of mechanical inspection equipment such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges, etc.
  • Competent use of Electromechanical inspection equipment such as CMM, OGP, Shadowgraph, etc.
  • Ensuring inspection department equipment is always in good condition and stored in the correct manner, flagging any issues or concerns to the Inspection Supervisor/Quality Manager
  • Maintaining the working area and equipment to the highest standard of cleanliness and organisation, in line with the companies 5S processes
  • Engaging with the positive Health and Safety culture within the company and support the continued promotion of a safe working environment
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to identify opportunities and deliver improvement across the production process, with specific focus on quality, delivery and cost
  • Providing information for quotations including special tooling/equipment, technical risks and any further relevant information to support the creation of quotes

Salary:

£21,000 - £23,000 per annum depending on experience


Hours:

Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 1pm

Permanent, Full Time
