    Senior Ecologist (Oxford)

    Job Summary:

    Oxford-based ecology consultancy seeking a senior ecologist to conduct Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Biodiversity Impact Assessments, and protected species surveys. Opportunity for autonomy and professional growth in a dynamic team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (habitat surveys and condition assessments), Biodiversity Impact Assessments, and protected species surveys
    • Prepare quotations and tenders, Ecological Impact Assessment, and further detailed assessments
    • Lead field teams and manage projects with flexibility as required by the business

    Requirements:

    • Genuine enthusiasm for ecology and the environment
    • Experience of phase 1 habitat surveys/ UK Habs and protected species surveys
    • Survey licence for at least one protected species
    • Ability to lead field teams and manage projects
    • Excellent report writing skills and good communication skills
