The Company you will be working for;
Our client is an established and successful company based in County Durham. They are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please applybelow.
The Role you will be doing;
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure all master data is accurate for new part / project launches comparing / and monitoring vs nominated Project Profitability levels
- Development of monthly operational performance information, for example looking at Actual Profit + Loss per project at Production EBITDA vs Standard. Identifying operational losses to allow the plant to make operational improvements
- Deputise for Financial Accountant ensuring cross functionality across the finance team
- Supporting other business stakeholders with general accounting queries
- Weekly + Monthly reporting of key financial data
- Developing working capital improvement opportunities
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ability to explaining the rational behind each balance held
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures and controls within the financial area
- Work with Global / Local Purchasing to establish cost increase risks and opportunities, ensuring a clear link to Commercial to recover any increase that the plant has incurred
- Preparation of the audit packs (internal & external) with face discussions with the relevant audit teams
- Preparation of 4 and WD5 official forecast as well as Business Plans and Budget
- P&L and B/S
- Standardisation and simplification of processes
About you;
- Post Qualified Professional who has held a similar Senior Financial Role
- Experience of a similar role and responsibilities within manufacturing desirable
- Working knowledge of UK regulatory standards, including IFRS and Sarbanes-Oxley
- A sound understanding and working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system preferable
- Effective communicator who can coach and develop financial understanding to other areas of the business
- Experience of auditing processes and procedures
- Experience of working with KPIs and developing internal performance measurement tools
- Both financial and nonfinancial
- Ability to work to meet strict deadlines and exceed under pressure
- Experience of delivering work process improvements throughout the business
