About the Role
Base Location:
Flexible Scotland, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key sites, which includes but is not limited to:
- Glasgow Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Strafpeffer
Salary:
£58,000 - £65,000 + Performance-Related Bonus + Car Allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

As our Hydro Water Management Lead you will ensure the effective and efficient management of water within SSER's hydropower schemes from in-day to strategic time horizons, maximising the business value in a safe and sustainable way within the constraints of environmental compliance, plant outages and all potential meteorological, hydrological and power market variability.
Some of your other main responsibilities will include:
- Team Management & Development.
- Water Storage Management.
- Environmental Compliance.
- Hydrometric Monitoring & Data Gathering.
- Hydrology, Optimisation & Development.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Experience in water resource management including catchment hydrology, yield analysis and water resource modelling.
- Operational understanding of power generation and potential impacts on society e.g. flood risk.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to a nontechnical audience.
