About the Role

Base Location:
Flexible Scotland, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key sites, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Glasgow Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Strafpeffer

Salary:
£58,000 - £65,000 + Performance-Related Bonus + Car Allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.


Working Pattern:
Permanent | Full Time | Flexible working options available


As our Hydro Water Management Lead you will ensure the effective and efficient management of water within SSER's hydropower schemes from in-day to strategic time horizons, maximising the business value in a safe and sustainable way within the constraints of environmental compliance, plant outages and all potential meteorological, hydrological and power market variability.


Some of your other main responsibilities will include:

  • Team Management & Development.
  • Water Storage Management.
  • Environmental Compliance.
  • Hydrometric Monitoring & Data Gathering.
  • Hydrology, Optimisation & Development.

What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Experience in water resource management including catchment hydrology, yield analysis and water resource modelling.
  • Operational understanding of power generation and potential impacts on society e.g. flood risk.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues to a nontechnical audience.
