The Handel Group consists of a £26m group of high-speed and dynamic print businesses
:ESP Colour (commercial Litho printing),
ESP Smile (commercial digital printing, personalised print-on-demand' and E-Commerce fulfilment),
PrintMX (an online B2B print platform)
Picsme (online gifting platform),
Interprint (Large Format and Signage) and
Goldcrest Labels (specialist adhesive and label printing).


Due to our ongoing growth and development, we're looking for a part-time HR Manager to join our current HR function and work collaboratively to provide a timely and best-practice HR service across the whole organisation.


About the role:


This is a broad role covering all aspects of HR, including employee relations, policy and procedures, employment law, recruitment and onboarding, training, as well as providing 'first line' HR advice to our management team.


Key responsibilities:


  • Be available and approachable to all of our people, providing appropriate and pragmatic support and advice with issues as they may arise. Such support will be based on HR best practice and sound employment law knowledge.
  • Review, develop and maintain company HR policies, procedures and forms, including the Company Handbook.
  • Ensure compliance with current HR regulations and legislation.
  • Drive continuous improvement to strengthen employee performance, employee relations, organisational culture, engagement & welfare.
  • Offer handson support and expertise to carry out varied daytoday HR tasks such as absence management, disciplinaries, employee benefits, offers of employment, performance management and compliance.
  • Maintain and improve HR department systems and processes to ensure they are effective, efficient, meet good practice standards and legal requirements.
  • Lead an effective recruitment cycle attraction, interview & selection, onboarding and induction.
  • Promote the Group profile internally and externally to become an employer of choice.
  • Work with operational management teams to identify training needs and develop & deliver plans to address these needs.

Skills and experience:


  • Ideally be CIPD qualified to Level 5 (or equivalent) with indepth knowledge of employment law and legislation.
  • Be comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders and confident in providing sound professional advice
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude and selfmotivated work ethic
  • Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, approachable manner
  • Think innovatively and rationally to come up with creative solutions
  • Be able to prioritise, problemsolve and use your initiative in a fastpaced environment
