Description

We are looking for an additional waitress/waiter for our on-site bistro.
We are looking for someone who can work 19.5 hours over 3 days.
Days can vary but must include a Friday shift. Roughly 9.00am

4.00pm (minus 30 mins for lunch break)

Overtime is available and offered occasionally.

Debden Grange is an exclusive Retirement Village Newport, Essex. It compromises of 17 two bedroom cottages, 64 apartments, a clubhouse that includes a restaurant, bar, library, hairdressers and shop.

We are an energetic, enthusiastic, customer led team and each member of the team is a key part of the excellent service we _ provide.

Responsibilities

Assist the Chef with cleaning the kitchen / washing up at end of each of service
Follow all relevant health department regulations
Greet and escort customers to their tables
Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
Prepare tables by setting up silverware and glasses
Offer menu recommendations upon request
Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software
Serve food and drink orders
Deliver checks and collect bill payments
Provide excellent customer service to guests

Requirements:

Experience preferable
Handson experience with cash register and ordering information system preferable
Basic math skills
Attentiveness and patience for customers
Excellent presentation skills
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Active listening and effective communication skills
