Description

We are looking for an exceptional, hardworking, and motivated individual to join our Plant Department as a Plant & Vehicle Fitter working on our fleet of machines and tools.

You will be required to carry out maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs to a wide range of construction plant and LGV equipment.

• Operate & inspect plant or equipment to diagnose defects.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs.
• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance.
• Inspect, Repair & replace damaged or worn parts as required.
• Test plant or equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance.
• Carry out prehire and 12 monthly through examinations on plant.
• Servicing company vehicles in a costeffective manner.
• Liaising with suppliers to achieve value for money on parts.
• Maintain part stock levels ensuring we have equipment to cater for emergency breakdowns.
• Work with Transport to ensure vehicles are maintained, serviced & inspected as & when required.
• Advising when plant is no longer fit for purpose or safe.

• Qualification as plant mechanic/fitter or similar experience
• Proven experience working with a range of plant equipment, machines, and hydraulic equipment.
• Confident in the diagnosis of electrical and hydraulic systems
• Good time management, organisation skills and be able to work to deadlines
• Ability to prioritise own workload and manage expectations
• Ability to weld would be an advantage
