Relief Community Support Worker

We have an exciting vacancy for a Relief Support Worker to join our team

We are looking for someone with a 'can do' attitude, who is a positive thinker with great initiative skills.

Someone who can support our students and come up with person centered and meaningful community engagement initiatives, work with external providers and create activities and sessions that make a real difference to students' days.

The job will involve the following:

Facilitates physical, recreational, social and educational activities within My Day hubs and out in the community.
Acts as a positive role model for students, providing life skills training and fulfilling personal aspirations.
Participates in group planning and helps develop individual activity plans which focus on person centered support.
Be passionate about creating an enjoyable atmosphere, and deliver meaningful and purposeful activities.
To be able to interpret and put into practice the individual's support plans.
Involved in daily transport routes of picking up and dropping off students.

You will need

To be able to lone work on occasions
2 years' experience with supporting adults with learning disabilities
A full UK driving license held for over two years
To be confident and willing to drive people carrier MPV's
To be physically fit as this role does involve some manual handling, outside physical activities including swimming, walking, and cycling
