Technical Product Owner
The Technical Product Owner is a critical role in delivering our challenging digital growth and revenue targets.

The purpose of this role is to manage the backlog of change associated with our search platform, that drives the web search experience and supports several channels across the Digital landscape.

The current focus is on replacing our current search engine (Oracle Endeca) with a new search platform, that supports the business requirements.

This role forms part of the project team delivering this work and is accountable for the delivery of the changes in our search capability (Search engine), working primarily with Engineers and other Project team members (Project managers, Digital product owners, Architecture, business sponsors etc) to deliver.

Beyond the current project delivery this role is focussed on ensuring that whichever search technology platform is used, that the search function is continuously evolving to stay relevant, supports new and future demands, is maintained and is kept in technical health.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to drive real change in the transformation of our Digital experience & Technology.

Key responsibilities

Define technical requirements with product management to establish the product roadmap for now and into the future.
Create, prioritise and execute a technical product roadmap for the search engine replacement project.
Collaborate with software engineers to deliver technical requirements.
Be the 'technical bridge' between key business and more technical stakeholders.
Undertake regular indepth analysis on performance across the business Search capability.
Building close working relationships with the Product management, Engineering, Architecture and other channels/functions that consume the search capabilities.]
Keep Product Management colleagues abreast of technological advances that could deliver additional capability and benefits.

What we're looking for

Indepth knowledge of the current RS search capability (Oracle Endeca).
Substantial experience in implementing search engines/capabilities into complex technology stacks.
A strong understanding of customer search behaviours.
Experience using analytical tools e.g., Adobe Analytics (preferred) and other performance monitoring tools.
Strong problemsolving skill set and commercially astute
Excellent communication skills, you'll be comfortable presenting to large groups at all levels
Experience of having worked in a Digital orientated business
Ability to multitask across numerous projects.
Strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills
Experience working with Agile & Continuous product discovery methodologies
