About the role


The Wellbeing Advisor is a key member of the College's Health and Wellbeing team, working with the College Nurse under the leadership of the College's Senior Tutor to provide advice and support for individual students and for the pastoral and academic staff who are working with them.

The Wellbeing Advisor is responsible for promoting a culture of healthy engagement with studies within the College, and to that end co-ordinates and runs wellbeing programmes and guidance sessions for groups of students as well as seeing and advising individual students.

This role signposts students to a range of further supports both within and outside the University, including the University Counselling Service, the Mental Health Advice Service and the Access and Disability Resource Centre.


This role would suit someone who has a strong understanding of the challenges and pressures of an academic environment and the difficulties students face when leaving home in the transition from school to University, or from lower to higher level study.

It represents an ideal opportunity to work at a senior level on an interim basis, in a vibrant, supportive environment.


The annual salary for this post is paid at point 51 on the University's single salary spine which currently equates to £48,350 per annum. The College would consider offering this role on a part-time basis with the minimum hours being 30 per week, which equates to 0.8 of full time equivalent. The salary, pro rata is £38,680. The College offers other benefits, including 33 days a year holiday inclusive of bank holidays and pro rata for part time, free lunches and parking when working, free use of the College gym and the post is pensionable under the College's attractive contributory pension scheme with a current employer contribution rate of 14.5%.
