Are you looking to join a business where you can own a product area yourself and get involved with the development & execution of new product with your Buyers?
If so, then this new and exciting role will give you just that
This brand are looking for someone to join the team and report into either a Senior Technologist or Technical Manager meaning that you will also gain some great exposure in this role.
In this role you will:
- Review the current spec library and conduct reviews with the Buying team to ensure that best sellers are added to it
- Review where best selling lines can be 'fast tracked' with suppliers for speed to market
- Work closely to your Buying team to understand new styles that will go into Sign Off meetings
- Identify any health and safety issues, fabric defects and general fit amendments that will need addressing with the supply base
- Support the Buying and Design team with initial sample requests to maintain costings and production standards
- Oversee any store complaints or returns around product on your area
- Own return rates and actions whilst feeding back to your line manager
- Conduct regular store visits and feedback any findings to the buying team, designers and supply base
- Ensure that costings are taken into consideration when making fit amendments and pattern changes
- Travel oversees to maintain supplier relationships and help with the onboarding process
- Work with the buying and merchandising team on the critical path to ensure that deliveries and cut dates are being met
- Own the gold seal process
- Ensure that fit comments are clear, concise and sent on time
Are you:
- Experienced with the AQL / or other testing portals
- Writing test reports
- Workbook management with suppliers
- Working to a critical path with a buying team
- Experienced in building a block library of specs for best sellers
- An effective negotiator with CPR requests
