Experienced Personal Assistant with Music Tech Background

Location:
Cardiff

Part-Time 16 hours, On-Site and Off-Site

Are you an experienced and passionate individual with a background in music tech and sound engineering, combined with the physical capabilities required for a diverse role?

We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Assistant with a sense of humour to provide comprehensive support to a sight-challenged man with cerebral palsy.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Experienced Personal Assistant, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning of various activities.

Key responsibilities include:

Technical Expertise:

Utilizing your music tech and sound engineering background to assist with equipment setup and operation in the office/studio and during live events.

Physical Support:
Providing essential physical support, including lifting, carrying bags, and assisting with equipment and logístical tasks.

Driving:
Transporting to conferences, meetings, and various events, demonstrating the adaptability and reliability of a dedicated assistant. You must have your own vehicle.

Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrating competency with Apple Mac systems and assisting with technical tasks as required.

Event Participation:
Accompanying to live gigs, conferences, workshops, and ad hoc overnight stays in hotels.

Sighted Guide Training:
Undertaking sighted guide training to ensure effective support for a sight-challenged individual.

Flexibility:
Adapting to various situations, maintaining a sense of humour, and handling change confidently.

Interpersonal Skills:
Effectively managing interactions and navigating challenging situations with a positive attitude.

Confidentiality:
Maintaining strict confidentiality and trustworthiness.

Background Check:
A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in music tech and sound engineering.
Exceptional technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
Physical fitness and the capability to handle lifting and equipment support.
Valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle.
Technical proficiency, especially with Apple Mac.
Empathetic and adaptable with a good sense of humour.
Effective problemsolving skills and a flexible approach to work.
Comfortable with varied schedules and multiple workdays.
