YARD OPERATIVE/ WORKSHOP ASSISTANT
Salary - £30, Depending experience
Working Hours - Monday - Friday - 08:00 - 17:30
Location

Our client is seeking an experienced Yard Operative / Workshop Yard Operative / HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor for their successful and efficient workshop.

Responsibilities of a Yard Operative.
Responsible for keeping the yard clear and tidy, movement and parking of all size vehicles.
Use of forklift, training will be given.
Housekeeping in workshop, general help to technicians.
Any vehicle skill will be a benefit ie. Tyre fitter, retired technician.
Will be responsible for upkeep of equipment and tooling
Anything that helps the technicians in their day to day roles

Supervising and motivating our team of Service Technicians and proactively reviewing daily workload to seek opportunities that will help drive performance.
Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by implementing quality checks, resolving any issues, and reassuring customers by providing all necessary information and advice.
Supervises the daily time keeping of technicians and manages authorised absence to ensure a consistent level of attendance
Maintaining relationships with vehicle manufacturer and providing technical information for Technicians during repair operations
Complying with Health & Safety regulations and ensuring high standards of housekeeping and security are achieved and maintained within the workshop and surrounding areas

Skills and Qualifications of a Yard Operative

Prior experience as a Yard Operative/ Workshop Foreman / HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor is preferred
Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage a workshop
Welldeveloped management and leadership skills
A working knowledge of automotive technology, warranty systems and the brand would be beneficial
The ability to exceed targets and deadlines is a must.
A full, valid and clean UK driving license
Computer literate including Microsoft Office
