A prestigious chartered accountancy firm is seeking an Associate Director to join their Audit and Accounts team in Chelmsford.

This role requires an experienced Associate or someone that has been working at a Senior level looking for the next step in their career, capable of managing a team of Client Accountants and building client relationships.

The Associate Director will collaborate closely with other Directors, handle project management, maintain quality standards, and represent the company at external events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client portfolios and foster strong client relationships.
  • Lead and supervise a team of Client Managers and Accountants.
  • Review company structures and stay updated on tax legislation for client tax efficiency.
  • Complete compliance work, including accounts preparation and tax computations.
  • Regularly attend client meetings to discuss future strategies.
  • Review budgets and projections prepared by Client Managers.
  • Liaise with financial institutions and ensure adherence to governing body standards.
  • Manage various projects, including finance raising, business planning, and forecasting.
  • Represent the company professionally at external events.
  • Support Directors in the overall management of the Accountancy practice.

Requirements:


  • ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Proven track record in Accountancy Practice, including Accounting, auditing, and taxation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to delegate, supervise, and mentor team members.
  • Resultsdriven with a focus on meeting client and management expectations.
