We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team in a fast paced and ever-changing environment, assisting the wider Health & Safety Specialism with a diverse workload ensuring that no two days are the same, allowing you to gaina wide experience of situations and developing yourself at the same time.

You would be operating in our weapons storage, handling, and processing sites.


Within this role you will be supporting the Health & Safety team with policy guided procedure, ensuring that we are effectively incorporating wider Health & Safety legislations and regulations to help guarantee compliance in our operations.

You may undertakesome audit & assurance activities and supporting these activities along the way.

There will be line management responsibilities for one colleague integrated into this role, allowing you to broaden your skillset in terms of training needs and development wherenecessary.


The role will be based at our DM Kineton site, consists of a large number of Explosives Storehouses and operates 10 ammunition processing buildings for the repair and periodic maintenance of munitions.

DM Kineton is a busy site which operates both road andrail transfers.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead by example to drive continuous improvement whilst embedding a strong safety culture
  • Implement and lead on audits and assurance reviews, identifying key learning points and communicating outcomes to on site stakeholders and senior managers
  • Act as a competent HS Manager by providing direction advice and guidance across the business
  • Deliver compliance with OHS legislation and MOD regulations across DM Kineton
  • Lead the development and maintenance of DM policy and how DE&S SEMS integrate into the wider business
  • Manage corporate communications on key H&S messages, ensuring effective delivery across DM Kineton
  • Manage a team of H&S staff supporting development and training needs where appropriate
Person specification

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 5/6 qualification.
  • Relevant work experience across a similar role.
  • Professional Membership: hold or attain during employment Graduate IOSH
