Healthcare Assistant

Purpose of the job:
To support the nursing team in meeting the complex medical, health and welfare needs of our students.

To act independently in the absence of a nurse following the appropriate medical procedures and where applicable to contact outside agencies.

All relevant information must subsequently be relayed back to the nursing team as a priority.

A wonderful oportunity has arisen at Victoria School within our Therapy team. The successful applicat will be motivated, enthusiastic and ready to join our skilled multidsiciplinary team based at Victoria School.

Livability Victoria School is a school for students aged 3-19 with primarily physical and medical needs and associated learning difficulties in Poole, Dorset.

We also cater for a number of students with Autistic spectrum condition. We are a fully inclusive and integrated school that inspires and creates a wonderfully calm and nurturing environment.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting within the Therapy department, that will include but not limited to, direct personal care, and clinical acare for highly dependent children in an educational setting in accordance with the students individual plan.

You will work closely with family members and other memebr of the multi-disciplinary team to help meet and review the student's needs.

Ideally you will have experience of working with children either in a special school or within a paediatric care setting.

Additional qualifications within sensory integration would be an advantage.

Salary:
£17,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
