Acorns Nursery School is a brand new family-run nursery school opening in September 2023. We are looking for a Room Leader to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our journey to create an inspiring environment for children.

We would like someone who has a real enthusiasm for early education and who also values the importance of using natural materials, outside play and building a lifelong love of learning.

We are looking for someone who is creative and imaginative, calm, caring and kind natured. They will confidently bring their ideas to the table and be a team player.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff, contractors and volunteers to share this commitment.

An enhanced DBS check is compulsory.


Skills and requirements

• To hold at least a Level 3 childcare qualification.
• To have worked within early years for a minimum of 5 years.
• To be able to create awe inspiring activities, plan activities to further children's development and manage the classroom environment to ensure all children are able to make progress.
• Manage a classroom, inspire members of their team and contribute ideas to the whole nursery setting.
• To promote and portray the setting's ethos and values through everything they do.
• Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with colleagues, parents and other professionals.
• Good organisation skills.
• Good understanding of children's needs and understanding of child development.
• To be able to observe, comment and write clearly in English.

Salary:
£23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
