Industrial Temporaries are looking for an assistant school caretaker for a secondary academy in Bradford on a temp to perm basis.

This is 37 hours per week and the salary is up to £21,968 per year plus £2,000 attendance bonus.

This is a full time position not just for term time and we are looking for somebody to start as soon as possible.

Main Duties

Provide an effective caretaking service.
Assist in the supervision of cleaning staff.
Inspect and record standards of cleaning and school grounds.
Take responsibility for all contractors visiting site and act as point of contact for any enquiries.
Act as keyholder for the school and ensure all entry points are open in the morning and locked at the end of the school day
Carry out decorating/basic handyman work such as painting, changing bulbs.
Reading meters and recording readings
Manage heating/hot water supply for the school and report any problems
Accept and sign for deliveries
Replenish consumables (soap in the toilets etc)
Empty and refresh all internal and external bins
Take care of any emergency cleaning spillages, leaks, acts of vandalism.

The ideal person will

Have previous caretaker experience or understanding of the workings within a school
Have basic handyman knowledge
Be a good team player but also have the ability to work unsupervised
Be able to prioritise their workload
Be a good communicator and be respectful of the needs and wishes of others
Be reliable with a friendly, approachable nature
Be confident when dealing with a range of different people

Salary:
£21,575.00-£2,121,968.00 per year
