DRIVER / WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE - CROSBY CATERING SUPPLIES LTD RAF - 3294

Crosbys Catering Supplies Limited are suppliers of tableware, glassware, janitorial and light equipment products and are looking to recruit a
Driver / Warehouse Operative who can hit the ground running and will complement our existing team.

Role Overview:


Main duties involved in the role are as follows:

• Be fit and healthy as heavy lifting involved
• At short notice you may be redirected due to the nature of our business
• Maintain vehicle logs according to the rules on driver's hours whilst ensuring that driver's hours are kept within the legal requirement as set by the DVLA.
• Operate equipment on vehicles to load and unload.
• Obtain customer signatures and clear printed name or collect payments for goods delivered.
• Assist in manually loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Be responsible for cleaning, inspecting and servicing delivery vehicles used.
• Carry out inspection of goods on receipt.
• Allocation of goods with specific job number or designated location.
• Accurately pick stock items for prompt issue to internal departments.
• Update and maintain accurate record keeping onto computer system.
• Assist with annual and random stock checks.
• Ensure warehouse and outside area is kept tidy always.
• Comply with Health and Safety requirements.
• Any other duties as commensurate within the position and within your skill set.

Skills and Experience:

• Possess previous experience working in a similar role with stock system experience.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours (Early starts, Late finishes).
• Possess a Full driving licence (Must not exceed 6 penalty points).
• Posses' good knowledge of Edinburgh and its surrounding areas.
• Holding a forklift truck licence would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Be punctual and of a smart appearance.
• Possess excellent attention to detail skills.
• Be organised.
• Have good interpersonal skills.
• Be IT literate to a competent user level.

What we offer in return:

• Minimum £10.00 per hour, however dependant on skills and experience the hourly rate may be increased. This will be discussed at interview stage.
