We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with an interest in healthcare science to join our busy Cardio-Respiratory department.


The successful applicant will provide comprehensive administrative support along with supporting the clinical physiology team to deliver an efficient and effective Cardio-respiratory service.


The role includes the scheduling of cardiology and respiratory appointments, dealing with a range of queries along with calculating and presenting activity and waiting list information.

The successful applicant will need excellent communication skills in order to provide a welcoming, professional and courteous service to our patients and relatives attending the department.


To assist in the provision of high quality Cardio-Respiratory service by providing administrative support to the department along with providing routine diagnostic investigations.


Also this post includes working independently to provide routine patient monitoring and diagnostic investigations along with working with qualified Physiologist during complex procedures.

These investigations include independently performing Electrocardiograms, non-invasive blood pressure and spirometry, and assisting in the delivery of the ambulatory monitoring service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest;

Amman Valley and Llandovery in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron, Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire;
48 general practices (six of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
