The role of the Community and Family Engagement Officer is to assist in tackling underachievement by working in partnership with families, parents, carers, pupils, and other agencies to ensure equal access to educational opportunities. Additionally, they support families in overcoming barriers to learning and participating in school and community life.

The officer focuses on preventative and early intervention activities, addressing needs before statutory services are required. A key aspect is coordinating services to develop an integrated model with schools as the central point.

Able to communicate in Welsh is advantageous.
