Sales Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a sales assistant within our Spar convenience store at 56 Main Street Cumbernauld Glasgow G67 2RX.

We are looking for a hard-working, reliable, honest sales assistant to work in our store.

As a local community store, we are looking for someone who has a friendly and positive attitude and can offer excellent customer service.

About you

You must have the ability to build rapport with customers, meaning they leave the store having experienced a great shopping trip and to be able to work well within a team and communicate effectively and openly with others.

You should be well presented and be a good brand ambassador.


Responsibilities

Duties include all work related to the store including cleaning & stacking shelves, rotating stock, facing up items, checking expiry dates, cleaning store and general housekeeping as well as serving customers.

The ability to carry stock from the delivery into the store is essential. Relevant training for lifting and carrying stock will be provided.

The role will also involve cash handling and other tasks such as ordering stock, checking off deliveries, reporting any damaged or incorrect stock delivered.

• Experience: 1 year retail experience

- job type: Full/Part time permanent up to 30 hours per week

• Salary: £10.42 per hour
• Schedule: Monday to Saturday working times by arrangement
