Deputy Headteacher

Key purpose of the job

To assist in the supervision of children both in the canteen and outside area to ensure the orderly conduct, welfare and safety of students during the lunchtime break.

Key Responsibilities

To supervise students at lunchtimes in the canteen and outside areas, ensuring acceptable standards of behaviour are maintained.
Control queues and supervise students in following the correct routes around the canteen.
To report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate line lead.
Ensure the dining area is clean and tidy and any spillages are removed promptly. Tables are cleaned ready for the next occupant. General cleaning of these areas will be required.
Ensure students return and place trays, crockery and cutlery in the correct areas.
During wet weather supervise students in indoor areas and classrooms.
Follow all safeguarding protocols.
Participate in meetings and training sessions as necessary.
Any other duties which may reasonably be regarded as within the responsibilities /grade of the post.
