Role

Job description
The administration of the supplier ledgers, including importing invoices and processing payments
Liaising with suppliers
Importing bank payments onto online banking software
Supplier statement reconciliations using Excel
Liaising with internal staff regarding accounting transaction queries
Other duties as may be required by the firm

Person specification
Required Qualifications/Training

GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or international equivalent)

Required Attributes

Sound experience in purchase ledger
Strong demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Computer literacy
Excellent standard of written and spoken English
Have good numeracy skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to deal with high volumes of work and manage conflicting priorities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to take ownership and responsibility
A willing and able attitude

Desired Attributes

Related qualification (e.g. AAT) or degree an advantage
Trained in the principles of bookkeeping
Experience of case management software (we use Proclaim)

Salary, Hours & Benefits

The salary is up to £25,000 D.O.E. (based on 37 hours per week)
3/2 alternative working from home pattern staff after probation
23 days holiday a year, rising to 26 days (3 days reserved for Christmas closure of the office)
