Bournville Village Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic and passionate Pastoral Assistant who will be vital in expanding our pastoral offer and provision within school.
The purpose of the role is to work alongside out Pastoral Lead, Senior leaders and other school staff as required to provide support to children who require pastoral support over and above that which can be given within the classroom.
The format of the support delivery will be highly differentiated and tailored to meet the needs of the children, but may include 1:1 work, group nurture sessions or check-ins.
As part of the support, it will also be expected that the role will require liaison and support for parents and families.
The role will also include raising awareness of the needs of our vulnerable children and the promotion of strategies that can be used by teachers within the classroom and by families at home.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
