Band - SLT ASSISTANT ROLEGUY'S AND ST THOMAS' CHILDREN'S COMMUNITY SERVICES
- SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY
- time speech and language therapy assistant post (Band 3). The post holder will join our existing team of 10 SLT assistants to support the work of the SLT department. The role will involve delivering Early Years groups with an SLT or another SLTA in our local health centres and clinics. You will also be helping to deliver online parent workshops, preparing therapy resources for our Early Years team and entering data onto our patient record system. The role may also involve helping with administration across the wider SLT team. There will be an opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of communication development in children. We are also looking for someone who has an interest in helping to administer social media channels such as Facebook and You Tube for the SLT department.

The Speech and Language Therapy department provides focused and clinically driven services across the community (Lambeth & Southwark).
Our aim is to ensure clear delivery and development of services for the specific populations we serve, enabling smoother transitions, enhanced skill development across the team and greater job satisfaction.
We provide separate line management and clinical supervision to ensure strong clinical performance and development opportunities.Main responsibilities:
Supporting clinical groups for children under 5.
Supporting administration of Early Years SLT team and other SLT teams for example: data entry, preparing resources, ordering resources, and various other admin tasks
There may an opportunity to lead groups with school aged students in schools.
