    Youth Workers required within education in South Manchester

    Do you have the passion and drive to help impact the lives of children?

    We are searching for former Youth or Support Workers who may be looking to explore new career opportunities.

    Cover People can offer an introduction into working within some of the best Secondary schools in South Manchester, supporting young people through education.

    We are specifically looking for confident and compassionate candidates who find the growth and progress of children highly rewarding.

    We require candidates who feel they would make an excellent SEN teaching assistant or behaviour/SEMH mentor.

    • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN needs.
    • Behaviour management supporting students with challenging behaviour.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
    • Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
    • Support and guide students, helping them to overcome challenges.

    The school requires:

    • Able to commute to South Manchester daily.
    • Previous experience working with adults or young people with SEND needs is highly desirable.
    • Desire to work in SEND/SEMH schools.
    • Passion and drive to help impact the lives of the children around you.
    • Youth Work or Support Work qualifications are desirable.
    • At least 3 months of experience working with vulnerable children or young people.

    We offer:

    • Excellent daily pay rates – £90-120 per day.
    • Paid weekly via PAYE.

    All candidates are subject to standard safeguarding and employment checks, including an online interview and DBS checks. Cover People act as an employment business on behalf of the school for this vacancy.
