We are now looking for a compliance officer to join our compliance team.

As a compliance officer with the Tote, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible difference to the team and wider business through your work to support the core strategic function of regulatory compliance.

Reporting into the Compliance Director the role will involve the delivery of key programmes in relation to the implementation of the compliance framework including regulatory processes and reporting, licencing, and policy management.

You will be expected to work proactively to engage with teams to identify areas where compliance support is required and to escalate appropriately matters of compliance risk.

What you'll be doing:

Preparing internal reports and collating data so that the Tote can meet its regulatory reporting obligations
Managing the policy update schedule and ensuring input from stakeholders
Carrying out compliance monitoring activity in accordance with the compliance framework and ensuring accurate records are maintained
Working with the marketing department to review content and proposals to ensure materials are compliant
Promoting a positive and proactive risk and compliance culture within the business by being an ambassador for compliance at all times and delivering internal communication strategies

We are a team of over 170 people with our HQ based in Wigan, Greater Manchester (WN3 5AZ)_._ The role will be 37.5 hours per week with core business hours 9am till 5pm.

What you'll need:

Proven experience in a risk, regulatory or compliance environment
A clear communicator with the ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
A commitment to maintaining and developing compliance knowledge
Previous experience or knowledge of the gambling industry is not essential but would be advantageous
