Description

I am currently working with a leading food manufacturing business based in Leicester. They are looking for an ambitious Assistant Commercial Accountant to support the Commercial Accountant.

This is an ideal role for someone who is looking for exposure toother elements of Finance that you wouldn't get at a traditional Assistant Accountant role.

Provides sales statistics on a weekly and monthly basis for the Group and for the Commercial team
Assist Commercial Accountant in setting / increasing prices; agreeing commercial terms with customers; preparing month end reporting pack schedules and analysing the Commercial business unit P&L
Calculate and explain sales and margin variances
Provide profitability analyses as required
Price/ rebate management
Update and maintain pricing model tool
Participate in the month end closure routine
Reconcile rebate accruals
Assist in the preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts

Person Specification

Part or Fully Qualified
Strong analytical skills and an ability to interpret data
Previous analytical experience
Effective communication skills
Management Accounts knowledge
