    Job Title: Operation Risk Analyst

    Description:

    SilverRock is building a new bank with the vision to pioneer fairer financial outcomes by empowering lenders and enabling savers to prosper. The Operation Risk Analyst will provide 2nd line support for outsourcing and third-party arrangements, as well as supporting operational risk oversight and management across the business.

    Purpose of Role:

    The ideal candidate will have operational risk experience within the first or second line of defence in a financial services environment and must have experience of operating and assessing controls. They will be responsible for supporting comprehensive operational risk processes, conducting ongoing controls assessment activity, and supporting risk reporting.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Operational Risk Framework Support: Assist in implementing and maintaining the operational risk framework, completing controls testing activity to identify and report the effectiveness of controls.
    • Risk Appetite & KRI Monitoring: Support the development, tracking, and reporting of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to monitor operational risk exposure.
    • Collaboration with Business Units: Work closely with first line teams to identify and assess operational risks, providing input into mitigation strategies.
    • RCSA Process Management: Assist in embedding the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), conducting regular reviews and updates to ensure risks are accurately identified and documented.
    • Strategic Risk Assessment: Provide input on risk assessments for new business initiatives, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
    • Risk Management Systems: Contribute to the implementation and ongoing management of risk management software to improve risk data capture and user support.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Support regulatory risk assessments, mainly focusing on EBA outsourcing requirements and operational risk.
    • Operational Risk Reporting: Prepare and contribute to regular risk reports and updates for senior management, risk committees, and the Board.

    Key Required Skills:

    • Technical Risk Management Skills: Understanding of operational risk management practices, including risk control self-assessment and KRI development.
    • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of relevant regulatory guidelines, such as EBA Outsourcing Guidelines and FCA/PRA operational resilience requirements.
    • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to assess and analyse operational risks, propose mitigation strategies, and present clear insights to senior management.

    Experience in Risk Systems and Tools: Ideally, have experience in using risk management systems and software to track, monitor, and report operational risks.
