Description

Our East Sussex School Health Service is looking for a qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse to join us as our Practice Educator in a 12 month fixed term or secondment contract.


Our Practice Educator is responsible for the learning and development of student specialist community public health nurses in their clinical placement, through undertaking the Practice Assessor and Practice supervisor role inline with the NMC guidance and University of Greenwich course requirements.


  • Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating holistic care in relation to care planning/pathways
  • Using your clinical judgement and risk assessments to keep the people using our services as safe as possible
  • Maintain excellent professional relationships with the team and other professionals attending MDT meetings on behalf of the team
  • Work in partnership with targeted populations relevant to clinical practice, making sure they are involved in decision making when planning their care
  • Act as an expert role model, facilitating and supporting the delivery of effective care by use of clinical reasoning and decision making skills, in line with best practice
