Maintenance Fitter - Andover, United Kingdom - Preformed Line Products

Description

A Maintenance fitter is required for day to day problem solving and repair of production machinery.

Working with diverse mix of equipment including CNC, injection moulding and bespoke machines.

Supporting the Manufacturing Manager in the day to day running of the maintenance department.


Duties and key responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance & servicing
• Safety inspections and record keeping
• Dealing with contractors to service key items of equipment
• Reactive repair of equipment
• Working on new machinery and automation projects
• Working directly on a wide range of maintenance projects from machine repair to building maintenance.
• Supervision and mentoring of maintenance apprentices

Qualifications

• Trade background, either indentured or NVQ3/
• Health & Safety certification preferred (but not essential).
• Forklift license useful (not essential)

Experience

• Maintenance experience within engineering manufacturing preferred (but not essential).
• Hands on Health & Safety management experience preferred (but not essential).
• Experience of handson maintenance/building/light engineering/basic plumbing skills preferred.
