Description
Our client is a large independent practice providing physiotherapy and musculoskeletal services across numerous sites who have been established for more than 50 years.
They now have an exciting opportunity for a high calibre and motivated Operations BusinessManager to join their team in Sheffield and play an integral part of the future of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Manage practice budgets and seek to maximise income and reduce expenditure
- Monitor and reconcile income and expenditure statements and purchase/sales ledger transactions
- Manage and monitor PAYE for practice staff (timesheets / hours/ selfemployed pay) and maintain appropriate records in coordination with our accountants who undertake the monthly payroll.
- To coordinate the practice pension scheme(s), whilst maintain appropriate records in coordination with our accountants.
- Keep abreast of current affairs and identify potential threats and opportunities
- Contribute to practice strategy; formulate objectives and research and develop ideas for future practice development
- Work alongside the Partners and local Practices as appropriate to develop the implementation of national strategy within the NHS and take an active role in collaborative working.
- Develop and maintain effective communication both within the practice and with relevant outside agencies / companies to ensure the practice meets the expected standards
- Oversee the recruitment and retention of staff, ensuring that all members of staff are legally and gainfully employed. Monitor skillmix and deployment of staff
- Evaluate, organise and oversee staff induction and training, and ensure that all staff are adequately trained to fulfil their role
- Develop Practice protocols and procedures, review and update as required
About You:
- Previous managerial or operational experience in General Practice, the private sector or the NHS would be an advantage but not essential
- Demonstrable project management experience and be able to manage concurrent projects from start to finish using quality improvement methodologies.
- Adaptable and able to respond to the diverse and dynamic nature of the role.
- Confident and resilient individual with excellent communication skills
