Description
We're looking for a Joiner chargehand with experience of the delivery and on-site installation of specialist commercial fitted furniture. Knowledge of ductwork fitting too would be an advantage but training will be given.

We specialise in laboratory and school furniture. Our high-quality products are designed and manufactured at our factory in Little Hulton, Greater Manchester.

All that's missing now is a skilled and committed installer to fit our furniture to our and our clients' high standards.

This is a physically demanding role and includes offloading and carrying products to rooms.

Working as part of a 2-man team, you'll need to be able to get along with your team partner both during the working day and in the evenings whilst working away.

You'll have a friendly and professional approach and always go the extra mile for our customers.


Location:
Based in Little Hulton, Manchester; and working throughout England and occasionally in Wales and Scotland. Approximately one third of your time will be in the North West and two thirds working away from home.


Salary:
Typically £40 to 44K per year.

This is based on the average earnings of our current site chargehand working approximately 50 hours per week (includes paid travelling time to and from jobs).


Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Fitter or Installer
  • Excellent customer service skills with a polite, helpful manner
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Strong team player whilst able to work autonomously
  • Physically fit and able to lift and manoeuvre loads
  • Awareness of Health and Safety regulations
