We are delighted to be offering a part-time secondment as a Senior Scientific Advisor to join us here at NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Co-ordination Centre (NETSCC) to help strengthen HSDR Programme Links with service decision Managers.
What is NETSCC?
NETSCC, based at the University of Southampton, manages evaluation research programmes and activities for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), and plays an important role in improving the health and wealth of the nation through research.
What is the role?
In this role you will work with Integrated Care Boards and other health and social care stakeholders to identify research needs and share relevant findings from the HSDR portfolio.
You will help to translate pressing problems into targeted research briefs and will engage decision-makers to make HSDR research more used and useful.
Who Are we Looking for?
- Ability to foster Relationships across an organisation and the wider health and care service community
- Able to organise major new initiatives, with little or no precedent
- Able to develop significant new concepts and original ideas in health and care field in response to intractable issues of importance to the full range of the HSDR programme's research users.
The Secondment:
This secondment arrangement is for up to 2 days per week (0.4 WTE) and will work on the HSDR programme topic identification and supporting the team with writing calls or research.
You will remain employed by your current employer on your current terms and conditions and we will set up a secondment arrangement reimbursing your employer for your time.
You will be accountable to the head of the NETSCC Identification & Prioritisation function for the work for which you have been retained.
There will be a review point of this Agreement at six months
