Reporting to the Registered manager, the Head Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring a high quality of housekeeping services throughout the home.

The Head Housekeeper will manage the laundry and all domestic service areas, working closely with the team to provide strong leadership, supervision and guidance to ensure the highest service standards are achieved and maintained at all times.

• Supporting the Registered Manager in the recruitment, retention and training of the of the housekeeping team.
• Management of rotas to ensure sufficient staffing at all times.
• Ensure efficient ordering of housekeeping supplies and PPE, maintaining COSHH documentation where required.
• Responding to feedback and audits of housekeeping services and taking action to ensure a culture of continuous improvement.
• Conducting supervisions and appraisals with junior staff to manage their performance and support in their development.
• Hands on flexible working across housekeeping and laundry departments as required leading by example when working on the floor.

This role is for a contracted 26 hours, with additional opportunity to pick up regular overtime to support the needs of the home.
