Lead Procurement Specialist - Head Quarters, Milton Keynes


REKOM have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement Department based at the REKOM HQ in Milton Keynes.

What can you do for us?


Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Lead Procurement Specialist is responsible for the management of the Procurement department, identifying and defining Procurement requirements in line with business strategy.

Playing a pivotal role in EBITDA contribution, you will work closely with leaders from across the business to establish need, drive sourcing strategies and maximise commercial value.

Alongside this, you will manage our commercial relationships with suppliers across all direct categories, ensuring contracts continue to deliver the best value and standards for REKOM.

  • An annual salary of up to £55k per annum, depending on experience;
  • You will join the largest latenight operator in Denmark, Norway, Finland and the UK;

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the performance of the Procurement department, development and implementation of the procurement strategy, policies and analysis of spend
  • Responsible for the negotiation and management of all direct supplier terms and contracts in line with group best practice/policies.
  • Support Procurement Specialist with the negotiation and management of all indirect supplier terms and contracts
  • Manage and review the performance of the supplier base through communicating and developing relationships with suppliers to drive engagement and performance
  • Management of drinks wholesale supply chain and food distribution contracts
  • Management of brand owner agreements and relationships delivering strategies aligned to the Countries Annual Target plan
  • Energy Procurement supported by SE First
  • Energy broker
  • Category management ranging and stocking decisions, promotions and incentives, analysis and interpretation of market trends and competitor activity.
  • Collaboration with the Energy and Sustainability specialist to ensure our ESG goals are being achieved through the supply chain and in venue
  • Cross functional working with Marketing and Operations to support the annual activation calendar, negotiation of brand funding and allocation to achieve desired KPIs.
  • Development and management of all in venue menus supported by Procurement Specialist and Marketing
  • Identify and create plans to mitigate potential issues/events that may impact supply
  • Financial analysis and reporting. Agreeing and implementing supplier KPIs.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation and keep up to date with relevant changes in legislation and initiatives
  • Line management of Procurement Specialist and Exec Chef

Essential:


  • Qualification in relevant discipline to Degree level or equivalent specialist knowledge
  • Tactically strong with a sharp commercial acumen
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record
  • Curiosity and inquisitiveness with courage to challenge
  • Energetic, resilient and adaptable
  • Strong ability to initiate and effect business and behaviour change
  • Experienced communicator, written and verbal, with a proven ability to convey complex information to a range of audiences
  • Strong relationship building skills, particularly in building consensus on complex issues
  • You must live within a reasonable distance of the Milton Keynes REKOM HQ; and
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
This is a full time and permanent role that is primarily based within our Milton Keynes HQ.
