The Role
Reporting to the Quality and Environmental Manager, the main purpose of this role is to inspect all products during and after assembly to ensure they confirm with customer requirements and the required industry standards.
The inspections will need to take place at our two sites which are located close to each other in Coseley.
The role will also involve assisting the Quality and Environmental Manager with continual improvement initiatives.Key Tasks
- To carry out patrol inspections to drawings/required specifications
- Final inspection of oneoff jobs
- To ensure traceability is maintained throughout the production process
- To coordinate with production staff to rectify internal issues in a timely manner
- To escalate quality issues if necessary
- To ensure quality documentation is completed and stored/sent to customers as
- To investigate customer returns and rework parts when applicable
- To keep quality records organised and accessible
- To identify key areas for improvement to increase quality
- To create simple 2d drawings using AutoCad LT
- To produce quality check sheets highlighting the highrisk processes within each job
- To keep measuring equipment calibration records up to date
- Take appropriate action to prevent release of nonconforming product

- Experience in a manufacturing environment is not essential but would be a distinct
- Ability to communicate/work with a team
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft products, such as Word, Excel, Outlook
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A positive approach
