Sales & Marketing Assistant
The Company
Forth Resource Management recycles organic material from gardens and local authorities into the Caledonian Horticulture range of peat free gardening and landscaping products.
The role
The Sales & Marketing Assistant is expected to, but not restricted to:
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns across various digital channels.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and messaging.
- Assist in creating and scheduling posts across social media channels (e.g Facebook & Instagram).
- Assist in optimising website content for search engines.
- Monitor social media inbox for incoming messages from customers.
- Assist in editing videos for social media.
- Liaise with sales team in responding to customer queries and orders.
- Assist in filming and onsite photography when required.
- Additional adhoc duties to support the marketing and sales team.
To succeed in the role you will need the following:
- Education or prior experience in marketing or sales with a passion for our business.
- Understanding of digital marketing concepts and tools. Including SEO knowledge and copywriting experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to work under pressure in a fast paced, market leading business.
- Creative thinking and a passion for staying updated with the latest digital marketing trends.
- Familiarity with digital marketing software (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp).
The following would be advantageous:
- Practice using Photoshop.
- Basic video editing experience.
- Experience in the gardening / horticulture sector, including product knowledge.
- A passion for the environment and sustainability.
- Full driving licence.
Salary
This role offers a salary of £23,000 - £25,000
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday

Digital Marketing: 1 year (required)
- Sales: 1 year (desired)
Work Location:
- Balgornie, Whitburn with some hybrid working from home.

£23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
