We are working in partnership with a fantastic and well-established business in the High Peak, in supporting the succesful recruitment of a Supply Chain Manager on a permanent basis.


Paying up to £50k + Benefits, this exciting role will be a central part of the team implementing a strategic plan relating to efficiencies and customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Working towards a 3year plan to ensure the robust customer strategy is adopted.
  • You will be working with the rest of the team to enhance overall business performance, design and implement a forecasting model which will give high level assessment of customer demands and which will drive production scheduling and raw material ordering.
  • The key focus of this role is to make the supply chain more efficient and to develop relationships internally and externally with all supply chain stakeholders. This will be achieved through creating and managing strategic supplier relationships, encouraginga collaborative approach to improve efficiency, waste ratios and therefore optimising profitability and facilitate 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Managing a team of 5 you will continually be looking for ways to improve cost savings and to deliver first class performance, continually monitoring and evaluating through a KPI system designed by you.
  • You will work closely with Procurement, the Commercial Teams and Operations.
  • The business is complex with over 1,000 Skus, over 120 customers and 120 suppliers but their mantra is to manage complexity and deliver simplicity.
  • This role is critical in achieving these goals and we need someone who will make their mark, challenge the status quo and is not afraid to take decisions.
  • An innovative individual with proven supply chain and wider procurement experience.
  • You will have strong customer focus and be meticulous in your approach.
  • A natural leader with good analytical skills and excellent Excel
  • You will need to be able to translate the company vision into clear ambitions for your team as well as driving change.
