Job Title:
Engineering Manager

Location:
Cullompton and Uffculme, UK

Contract and Shift details:
Permanent - Monday - Friday 37.5hrs per week

Are you an Electrically qualified Engineer with team leadership experience looking for an opportunity to lead Engineering and Maintenance across two animal feed production sites in the beautiful countryside of Devon? If so, join our team today

You will manage a team of 5 across both sites with a role that's roughly 60:40 Management/hands on maintenance.

You will oversee all plant equipment ensuring that the Mills are running to the maximum when it comes to feed safety, performance, efficiencyand reliability in line with the set monthly budget.

Other responsibilities will include:

Promoting best practice and right first time with the team offering supportive leadership and continued development
Ensure the sites meet compliance with all relevant Legislation & Statutory Inspections
Health & safety is always prioritised and that teams operate safely and that all works are followed and documented on Maintenance/business systems
Manage the PPM regime for all Plant and Equipment factoring in jobs lists from other departments and inspections to priortise work
Working closely with our Operations Manager contribute to the budget plan for the financial year and maintain control of spend (by month).
Contribute to overall budget plan and CAPEX submissions presenting any budget deviation requirements, proposing solutions for potential savings or process optimisation plans as well as looking at ways to improve overall site performance.

This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking for a management position but still likes to be hands on the tools and utilise your experience.

We have lots of opportunity for improvements but alongside a varied workload you will have the supportof a great team and onsite management.

To be successful in this position some of the knowledge, skills and experience we are looking for:

Qualified Electrical Engineer to a minimum of; HNC (or equivalent) with high voltage, control panel and fault finding on older plant machinery
Ideally Multi Skilled with Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
A logical and structured thinker, with a strong ability to solve problems.
Exposure to high volume manufacturing; CI or Lean methodologies.
Strong Communication skills: Ability to engage and motivate teams and individuals with previous line management experience
Ability to support 24 hours on call (via a rota system)

Location
For this role you will be based mainly at our Cullompton site but both sites are approx. 15 mins from each other therefor travel between the two locations will be required as needed.
