Data Steward - Technical specialistFull time (37 hours per week)
Up to £35,892 (depending on skills and knowledge)
Based at our Lancaster site. Current hybrid working policy allows up to two days working from home.

We have an exciting opportunity for a data steward with a specialism in technical skills to help support the Data Stewardship Team and the Environmental Information Data Centre (EIDC) in the maintenance and development of the tools and infrastructure required to deliver world class science for UKCEH.
You will:
- Help maintain the day to day operational infrastructure and develop future function and capability e.g. of data management planning tools used by UKCEH and NERC data centres
- be part of a Data Stewardship Team, promoting best practice in research data management and supporting the development of Data Management Plans covering a variety of different types of data, promoting FAIR and open data.
- Liaise with researchers to advise and agree plans for data they produce to be made FAIR
- Facilitate the ingestion of research data to the Environmental Information Data Centre (EIDC)
