What will I be doing?


As a Machine & Assembly Shop Inspector for Safran Landing Systems, you will be Operating in a variable environment with tight deadlines and changing demands.

Your main responsibility will be to carry out inspection activities for parts and assemblies, which will include:
First Off, and Final View Inspection of internal ensuring they are to the required high standards.

Your primary responsibilities and key accountabilities are as follows:

  • Inspect complete gears, assemblies, detail components and other parts included in the Spares inventory
  • You will inspect and deliver quality products to both internal and external customers, with a full understanding of AS9102 FAI requirement's. ASMEY and ISO standards.
  • Issue release documentation in accordance with company procedures and EASA regulations
  • Training can be provided
  • Adhere to H&S regulations / duty of care

Job requirements:

What do you need from me?

  • If you do not have a level 3 qualification, we will support you to complete an NVQ Level 3 once you start
  • You must have previous experience of operating in a manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to implement and follow inspection processes.
- ability to understand quality issues and determine suitable outcomes via reasonable analysis

  • Working knowledge of EASA Part 21 Subpart G incl. AMC & GM or willingness to train to obtain necessary regulatory signatory status.
  • Use of eLearning will be prerequisite to gaining a stamp & signatory.
  • Customer centric approach
  • Willingness to work flexibly and be adaptable to the operational needs of the business environment
  • Good interpersonal skills are necessary as effective communication is required
  • Experience in rigging and slinging to allow for the removal of heavy crate lids and positioning of parts training can be provided
  • Ability to produced required volumes of Quality Documents to high standards
  • Capability to follow detailed procedures
  • Experience in detailed examination of parts, identifying any faults or misalignment from specification
  • Ability to work autonomously and or in a team environment
  • Comfortable for working towards / to KPIs
  • Working with movement equipment, e.g., pump trucks
  • Understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations
