Main Purpose of the Job


To be responsible for providing administrative support to the Purchasing Manager to ensure efficient order generation processes in a timely fashion.

To provide a support to the administration team in the absence of the Purchasing Manager and to perform more detailed tasks where necessary, at the Purchasing Managers request.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate PO's in SAP
  • Process courier Import requests.
  • Resolve any issues with shipments or orders.
  • Process CDS Import entry documents and request amendments for incorrect documents when necessary.
  • Process and raise any Purchase Requests in Mfiles.
  • Process New Supplier requests into SAP.
  • Process CAPA's in Mfiles for NCP's requiring return to the supplier.
  • Generate PO monitoring reports and distribute them to the administration team to process.
  • Support the Manager in assigning tasks to the administration team.
  • Attend weekly operations meetings (In absence/at the request of the Purchasing Manager).
  • Other adhoc admin duties.

Key deliverables and performance indicators

  • Accurately completed work.
  • Pro active in spotting errors or discrepancies.
  • Educated to a least GCSE level or equivalent, with good passes in English and Mathematics.
  • Previous experience within a Purchasing Administrator role is essential
  • Proficient with MS office
  • Knowledge of supply chain management
  • High level of accuracy for the database management.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate on all levels.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other departments.
  • Experience/knowledge of SAP would be desirable
  • Experience of Mfiles would be desirable
This is a hybrid role, working from site 3 days a week. You will need your own transport to be able to get to our site.
