Duties


We have an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the Global Technologies & Infrastructure Team based in Bradford.


Essential to the role is a thorough understanding of core Microsoft technologies, private Cloud Technologies and the ability to work within a corporate IT environment.


As well as helping to design, implement and support infrastructure projects, you will also be responsible for any fixes to our infrastructure to keep in-line with our Enterprise Architecture roadmap.


Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Responding to Incidents and Service Requests
  • Raising and presenting Change Requests as appropriate.
  • Knowledge sharing with others in the team and empowering them to develop systems with your collaboration, reducing single points of failure.
  • Building operating systems in a virtual environment
  • Securing, patching, maintaining and monitor systems using tools such as Solarwinds, vCenter and PowerShell

Key Competencies and experience

  • Windows Server Operating Systems
  • Monitoring e.g. Solarwinds
  • VMware and/or Hyper-V
  • ITIL
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, Solarwinds monitoring and ITIL processes
  • Experience with Hyper-V and/or VMware virtualisation platforms
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Ability to write readme files and produce clear technical documentation to assist colleagues
  • Strong AWS knowledge
  • Strong communication skills

It is essential that you have the self-motivation and determination to ensure you succeed.

You should have an enquiring mind, with the ability to think through a problem and the consequences of your actions.

You will be experienced with following changecontrol processes that are required.


It's important that you have been used to handling multiple tasks simultaneously, handling conflicting priorities as well as being highly organised allowing you to plan and priorities your workload efficiently.

You will be enthusiastic, a quick thinker andpossess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
