The Role


As an Occupational Health (OH) team for Essex County Fire & Rescue Service, we provide a high quality, comprehensive and pro-active service for all colleagues.


We advise on the supervision and protection of the health of colleagues throughout their employment and promote a healthy working environment, providing advice to managers and key stakeholders throughout the Service.

We are looking for an Occupational Health Administrator to join our collaborative and busy team.


What You Will Be Working On
Providing OH administrative support and co-ordinating the activities of the OH team.

Maintain, record, store, and supply information in accordance with ECFRS and legislative policy.

General office duties, including reception.

Dealing with and resolving telephone enquiries and using professional judgement, directing and/or escalating to the relevant persons.

Reviewing existing procedures and implement streamlined working practices.


Co-ordinating the activities of the OH clinical team, by managing the diaries of the Consultant Physician, Service Manager and Nurse Adviser.

Receiving invoices for payments, raising purchase orders liaising with the finance team.

Act as the OH representative on the eopas user group.

You will have experience in providing a sensitive, diplomatic, and confidential service and working independently and as part of a team.


We would love to find someone that has strong interpersonal skills and experience in using their professional knowledge and judgement in supporting others.
