Description

Overview:
Making the decision to enter treatment can be an intimidating experience for the people we support. You can make a difference.

As a Volunteer Prison Recovery Worker with Change Grow Live you'll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

Responsibilities:

With this role you'll be working as part of the Pathways to Recovery team, based in HMP Wandsworth.

The team supports people in custody with drug and/or alcohol issues.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision, and have someone on site who you can approach for day-to-day advice and guidance.

In return for the time you give you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You'll be making a real difference too.

This is what one of our Volunteer Recovery Co-ordinators had to say
:"_I felt very appreciated for the year of volunteering that I've done that made me proud to be part of a very supportive team that values my time and efforts.

I would definitely recommend CGL to any future volunteers."_

Our values are to be compassionate, open and bold. If this sounds like you we'd love to hear from you so click apply.
